Questar: The Rolls Royce of Telescopes

Lawrence E. Braymer (1901 - 1965) was a commercial artist and amateur astronomer who had read about Dmitri Maksutov's work in the 1940's and felt that Maksutov's use of spherical surfaces could become the basis for the telescope he wanted to produce-- a compact and durable astronomical telescope that could double a a daylight spotting scope.
